A Few Charities

The spirit of volunteerism runs deep in the Biker community. Bikers regularly give the fruits of our kinship to those in need, which provides additional meaning to our love for riding. We initiate, organize, volunteer, and participate in a variety of events benefiting charitable organizations. Some of these organizations include:

Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.)
Bikers Against Child Abuse exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. This organization exists as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live.  B.A.C.A. works in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children.

Cal Farley's Boys Ranch
Cal Farley's Boys Ranch is a modern community of young people who have found "a shirttail to hang onto." Kids from throughout the United States enjoy a variety of academic, vocational, spiritual and extra-curricular activities to help them become responsible and resilient citizens.

Cut-N-Shoot Charities
Cut-N-Shoot Charities gives back to the community through financial, as well as in-kind donations and volunteer efforts, to insure a better future for communities primarily located in the Montgomery County area of Texas. This organization was founded by the Cut-N-Shoot H.O.G. Chapter which is sponsored by Texan Harley-Davidson in Conroe, Texas.

March of Dimes
Bikers for Babies supports the work of the March of Dimes to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality. March of Dimes RIDE events are amoung the fastest growing sources of donations raising in excess of $2 million in 2004, when more than 80 RIDE events took place with 38,000 participants.

Muscular Dystrophy Association
Bikers proudly initiate, organize, volunteer, and attend events and rides benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The Harley-Davidson family of employees, dealers, riders, and suppliers has raised more than $50 million for MDA since the Company became a national sponsor of MDA in 1980. In 2003 alone, the Harley-Davidson family raised a whopping $7.3 million for MDA as part of the Company’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation
Bikers enjoy participating in Ride for Kids events throughout the year, but we look forward to the day when there will be no need for these rides.

Prisoners of War-Missing in Action (POW-MIA)
The biker community heavily supports the Prisoners of War (POW) - Missing in Action (MIA) cause. We are dedicated to bringing awareness to ongoing POW-MIA issues and ensuring that these service men and women are not forgotten. In addition to helping correct the past, we are committed to protecting future veterans from being left behind.

St. Luke's Episcopal Health Charities
St. Luke's Episcopal Health Charities works within the 57-county Episcopal Diocese of Texas to increase opportunities for health enhancement and disease prevention, especially among the underserved, and makes possible measurable improvement in community health status and individual well-being.
